... as promised, here is a little comment about the tour for your website:
This trip, the first holiday since the beginning of my studies, fulfilled everything I had dreamed about: hiking, geology, and culture in a most pleasant mix. The trip was both relaxing and inspiring.
Starting from the origins of the island as a lonely peak in the sea, the first volcanic islands formed by coalescent lava domes near Akrotiri up to the Bronze-Age Minoan Eruption with its devastating effects on the region, the natural history of Santorini came truly to life during this week.
I have lovely memories about the extended "Greek" breaks, when we could swim or just relax and take in the beauty of the places we were.

The red poppy fields, the blue sky, the moonrise, the sound of the sea, the cozy nights at Margarita or her brother's place... I could go on long to count all the little and special moments that I experienced on the tour, but it might tire you:
All I can say is that I would re-do the trip any time. and recommend it to everybody. Who does not go, is his own fault.
I have no no doubt I'll travel with VolcanoDiscovery again, perhaps earlier than thought.

This tour was a dream fulfilled. I hope that I'll dream about it even in some years to come in the way I could during these 9 days. Efcharisto Thera! Efcharisto Tom!
